These cupcakes have my Grandmother's recipe for Sticky Frosting (at least that's what we call it in my family) on top. It's oh so sweet. Here's the recipe:
Grandma's Sticky Frosting
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 egg white
1/2 cup less 1 TBSP boiling water
Measure out the first four ingredients into a mixing bowl. Add the boiling water. Mix on high speed until stiff peaks form.
